Do you have a hidden passion?
Do you have unspeakable talents?
Are there times when you lose sight of interest due to heaviness within you?
I am currently experiencing this breakdown due to various reasons. The spark of my passion for writing is slowly burning down. Fire meets downfall. I am losing myself over and over. How can I feel the raindrops if they did not touch my skin?
I tried everything to keep in touch. I was consuming from soulless fairytales. I write to inspire people even if not a single soul is not present for me. My mind is flooded with bitterness over sweet and restless over rest. How can they see me drowning from the tears I have collected if I locked myself up?
I am tired of everything. My rotten hands are calling for a peaceful grave. The words I wanted to express are cutting images through clueless pen and paper. My eyes are dried – another distorted sense. I am failing over and over. I am asking myself, why do these blue days keep on coming back to me? Is God punishing me? Is He letting me drown in my depression and stress?

Surely, I tell you He does not. One of the misconceptions we always have when we face a down season is thinking that God punishes us with it. But in reality, this is a ground for us to let our faith grow. The Evil may show its contempt by continuously telling us lies about our worth, but certainly what the Evil meant to harm us, God will use it for good. Trials like these are opportunities to lean on God, ask for His guidance, and to acknowledge His divine power – that whatever is in front of us will not be greater than what He has stored for us to overcome with.
Just like what Jesus has said, illnesses or disabilities are not caused by our sins nor by our parent’s, but it so that works of God might be displayed in us. (John 9:1-3). So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
Are you feeling blue right now? This stormy and gloomy season of your life will surely end. But while it is still occurring, use it to grow your relationship with God.
The light shines within us – either we recognize our willingness to survive or show the way for somebody who is wounded and broken. While holding the light, leading others is to feel, glow, and see what is necessary in a dark world.
