Matthew 19:26

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God everything is possible.”

Luke 9:13-17

“Miracles can happen, so possibly,” were a 12-year old Grace Vanderwaal remarkable words when Simon asked her if she could win the show. The judges and audience of America’s Got Talent were astonished as she performed her original “I Don’t Know My Name” on her first ever audition and performance in front of a massive audience. In fact her friends had no clue that she can actually sing! Together with her amazing voice and her ukulele, she got a golden buzzer. On that summer, Grace was announced as the grand champion of America’s Got Talent. Now at the age of fifteen, she’s known as a famous singer who composes her own music and tours across the globe.

Miracles happen every time. In Grace’s case, her miracle was finding her way to let others know her name and the music she makes. In the Bible, miracles like that happened – big miracles. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead in the gospel of Mark, In Matthew 14:13-21, Jesus fed the five thousand after blessing the five loaves and two fish, Israelites cross the red sea in Exodus 14, and many more. God performs different and amazing wonders as accounted in the Bible. And just like in the past, God is continuously working in us and performing wondrous things.

Have you noticed them? Well, if you are waiting for miracles like winning the lottery or accidentally finding a lamp where a genie magically comes out and gives you three wishes, you might wait for a very long time. But you must always remember that miracles happen, we just leave them unnoticed. They happen every time but we just get immune to it!

But most of all, the greatest miracle that happened to us was when Jesus changed our dull, empty, and meaningless life to something full of light and hope. We can share this kind of miracle by sharing to others the good news of the Lord, and by letting Jesus enter our hearts and change our life more meaningful.

Prayer

Father, we thank you for all the miracles you have done in our life. Most importantly, for sending your son for us to be saved from sin and grave.

God turns the impossible to possible.
