John 20:25

So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.”

Luke 24:38-40, 48-53

In the passages of John 20:24-29, we can know Thomas who doubted the resurrection of our Lord. Like him, most of us live in the principle of “To see is to believe.” We want proofs and evidences to believe something. But the thing about Jesus is that he is beyond reason, because if there could be one thing that philosophy or any study won’t be able to explain, it is love.

Jesus just like he has promised when he was still in Galilee, he was delivered into sinful men, crucified and on the third day he rose again. (Luke 24:6-7) He conquered death and sin. We have been set free! Through him, the broken relationship we had before –  in the time of Adam and Eve – have been reconciled. And today, is the day that the Lord has made for us to rejoice and celebrate. He is risen! He will live now and forevermore!

Today, as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, may we remember this as one of our victorious moments. The sting of death is sin, and the tower of the sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:56-57) Jesus died, but lived again. He has conquered the grave. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? … Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, … shall be able to separate us from the love of God. (Romans 8:35. 38-39) Nothing will ever come in between us and the love of God because Jesus have made himself the door and the way for us to be with God.

Sometimes we can be like Thomas, but remember we live by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) And blessed those who haven’t seen the Lord yet believed (John 20:29). There things that are difficult to understand and explain, just like love and resurrection. But sometimes all we need is to believe and have faith.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for this day. A day to celebrate, share our smiles

and joys to all the people for You have risen.

Together with You, the new life, hope, and love have also risen.

May our hearts be full with content and thanksgiving

for never breaking Your promise. You lived, died, and rose again!

Lord You reign, seen or unseen.

I’m hoping to start my own blog soon but I’m a little

go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m completely overwhelmed ..

    1. Hi! I have been managing this blogsite for more than a year now and I only use the free platform from WordPress. For a beginner, I think a free platform would be fine. But if you would like to go immediately with the paid option one, it will also be fine because there would be a lot of features that will be accessible. I think you should think about the purpose of your blog and its expected life span. If you’re going for a long-term one, it would be best if you invest immediately in the paid ones. I hope this helped! God bless too!
